What are the best sheets for an Airbnb?
Short answer
There isn't one best sheet for every rental bed, so pick by mattress depth first, then by the cost of a three-set cycle. We've checked 7 white sheet sets on retailer pages in Twin, Full, Queen and King, and none yet in Twin XL or California King. Threshold Solid Performance 400 Thread Count has the deepest pocket (up to 18 in, in Queen and King). The lowest-cost Queen cycle is Room Essentials microfiber at $60 for three sets; for King, Room Essentials microfiber at $66. IKEA DVALA is the only line here with matching pillowcases we checked as a separate item. Commission plays no part in this order.
Hosts need sheets that come back white after a warm wash, stay on the mattress and can be replaced one piece at a time when a pillowcase stains. How we compared
- Pocket depth decides first. Measure the mattress with any topper and protector on and buy a pocket at least 1 in deeper. A set that slips off at 2 am costs you a review.
- White is the rental standard because it can be washed hot and matched across sizes. Check the care label before bleaching: of the sets here, 2 say no bleach and 5 don't say either way.
- Price a full cycle, not one set: three sets per bed with on-site laundry, four when linens are washed elsewhere.
- We haven't checked a Twin XL or California King set yet. Each size page lists what to look for until we do.

Should Airbnb sheets be white?
Most hosts use white because it washes hot, matches across sizes and looks fresh in photos. Bleach is a separate question: check the care label, because some white cotton sets say no bleach.
Cotton or microfiber sheets for a rental?
Cotton breathes and handles warm washes; polyester microfiber costs less and dries faster. Among the sets we checked, IKEA and Threshold are cotton and Room Essentials is polyester.
How many sheet sets should I buy per bed?
